Community Classes and Activities
We never wanted Be the Jellyfish to be limited to school use. We want to reach as many children as possible! Using the complete Be the Jellyfish programme, Community Jellyfish Teachers run classes in their local community.
What happens in a class
Typically between 1-1.5 hours in duration, children use the Be the Jellyfish creative activities and exercises to learn relaxation techniques that they can use every day.
So pack a cushion, some water and make sure to dress your child in clothes suitable for getting stuck in with arts and crafts. As one parent put it, ‘Jellyfish can make children and adults feel different within the hour!’
Who are they for and who runs them?
Classes are suitable from anyone aged between 5-11. Classes are run by DBS checked Community Jellyfish Teachers including founders of Be the Jellyfish, Lucy and Sarah.
Can’t see a class near you?
Start your own class! We are looking to grow the Jellyfish family! If you are passionate about supporting the social and emotional wellbeing of children and are looking for a new project, speak to us about training to become a Community Jellyfish Teacher.
