Supporting social and emotional wellbeing
Be the Jellyfish is a children’s wellbeing company. We provide school training and offer a unique programme to primary schools wishing to support mental health and nurture the social and emotional needs of the children in their care. We also deliver Jellyfish classes in the wider community and produce individual resources for those working with children or for use at home.
Be the Jellyfish was created by experienced primary school teachers who were seeking an alternative way to support children. Initially this was intended as a means to overcome specific barriers to a child’s learning but, over time, it was realised that more children could benefit from the opportunity to discover, explore, create and be mindful of themselves.
The Jellyfish programme, published by Jessica Kingsley Publishers, focuses on creativity, communication and relaxation and is designed to help children discover, explore, express, manage and develop their thoughts, feelings and emotions. It is established in schools across the UK and works successfully as an independent initiative or alongside current implemented programmes.
Ensure children’s wellbeing is at the centre of your school culture. We look forward to welcoming you into the Jellyfish family.
To provide schools with information about our Jellyfish services we are available for speaking at conferences, forums and school focus days. Please enquire via the contact page and to book for the new academic year, Sept 2017.
